Emma Noelani nominated for Best Performer in a Musical for BroadwayWorld Columbus

Emma has been nominated for a BroadwayWorld Regional award for her standout performance as Mimi Márquez in RENT at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield, Ohio. She is humbled to be nominated alongside Broadway star Jennifer Simard and Mean Girls composer Jeff Richmond.

Marta in COMPANY

Emma played the role of Marta in Stephen Sondheim's Company with Theater 2020 from April 17th through May 11th. The show was directed by David Fuller with choreography by Judith Jarosz, with music direction by Mitchell Brownell and costume design by Robert Jay Pugh. Photos found here.

RENT musical to show audiences ‘love heals’ at Renaissance Theatre

MANSFIELD — Director Ryan Shealy said the Renaissance Theatre’s newest show aims to entertain and teach audiences about finding love in times of hardship. “Rent,” written by Jonathan Larson in the 1990s, follows a group of young artists in New York City’s East Village during the AIDS epidemic. A 13-member cast is set to bring the Tony Award-winning musical to Mansfield audiences. “The AIDS epidemic is a real hole in our history, but luckily, we have this beautiful piece of theater to tell us this story,” Shealy said. “It’s relevant because there’s still a stigma about HIV and AIDS, even though it is very manageable today.” Shealy said the cast includes five visiting artists from outside of Ohio.

“We received more than 500 audition submissions for this show, and the cast we have is amazing,” he said. (click here for full article)

Theater 2020 to Present THE TEMPEST This Month

THEATER 2020, Brooklyn Heights' NY award winning theater company has announced its June 2024 run of the Shakespeare's Romantic Comedy “The Tempest,” adapted by NYIT Award nominee David Fuller, directed by NYIT Award nominee Judith Jarosz and running 8 indoor & 2 outdoor performances in Brooklyn, Friday, June 14th - Sunday, June 30th, 2024.
